The Recording department receives and records all documents that are not part of a civil or criminal case. In addition they record civil judgments and liens that citizens wish to have included in the general indexes.
The department is responsible for recording in several indexes managed by the Clerk of Court. They record the transfer or conveying of property in the Conveyance Books. Judgments, Liens etc are recorded in the Mortgages Book. They also have a Miscellaneous Book where Notary Bonds, Covenant Marriages, etc are recorded.
Recording also swears in all public officials as well as Notaries and processes their bonds.

- Affidavit of De- Immobilization
